A graduate of mathematics at MiNi PW, where he met discrete mathematics and graph theory. He expanded his knowledge and experience by working at the SAS Institute – starting at the Technology Center and ending as a System Development Consultant in the Telco department. It was there that he used graphical analysis in business applications for the first time. Then, working in the BZWBK bank, he got acquainted with the process of building analytical environments and alternative data analysis. Currently, he is the manager of the Big Data analysis team, and also deals with the implementation of new technologies and solutions and their use in business.
He also conducted classes at postgraduate studies at the Warsaw School of Economics and Warsaw University of Life Sciences from Social Networks Analysis, showing how to achieve better business results by using graph theory in different technologies.
Senior Data Scientist at Groupon. Every day he deals with i.a. construction and development of predictive models. He worked in the research and development departments of Fiat in Turin, Samsung in Warsaw and Boeing in the Tri-City. Has several years of didactic experience at the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice. He currently teaches data analysis at the Warsaw School of Economics. He is a co-author of several articles related to computer vision and patent applications in the field of aviation. His main interests are machine learning, computer vision (master’s thesis) and 3D reconstruction (PhD). He is a co-founder of mlgdansk.pl group, cyclical meetings related to machine learning at the Gdańsk University of Technology.
He is a last year graduate in Bioinformatics currently employed as a data scientist at Lorentus Ltd, where he works on vision based recommenders. Previously a data scientist at ING, He research and develop attribution models for marketing, which are based on markov chains. In order to efficiently store and process large volumes of data, he work on Hadoop-based server and utilise Hive and Pyspark. In his previous job at Amplyfi, he had a chance to work on text mining methods for meaning extraction from large volumes of text documents, based on statistical NLP methods.
In his PhD research, he was investigating and developing supervised and unsupervised machine learning methods to predict context specific enhancer-promoter interactions using evidence from changes in genomic protein occupancy over time. The model provided highly accurate predictions as validated using data from genome-wide chromatin conformation capture experiments.
